I have never been so blown away by a script supervisor as I was by Duyen on the set of Division. I tell everyone I speak with that she was like a laser beam, capable of assessing exactly what a scene needed to be perfectly executed. She takes precise notes of actor movements throughout the scene, and knows if something needs to be shot to cover an inconsistency. I am so grateful to her for having the kind of analytical brain that I decidedly do not.

Duyen was script supervisor for the third movie I’ve directed. I’m primarily an actor, and one who usually runs the other direction from scripty as I’ve always had the silly fear that sticking to consistency, take after take, can turn a performance stale. So when I direct, I have to battle those instincts when engaging with my script supervisor, yet with Duyen, she makes the whole process so so so easy. She also makes the process quite lovely and enjoyable. Having Duyen on my team was such a blessing. She’s got a wonderful demeanor and spirit, her work is so precise, her attention to detail is exactly what you’d want in a script supervisor and again, her personality and team player essence is truly wonderful. You’ll be better off working with her, trust me. And even though I’ve had my fear of script supervisors, Duyen knew how to engage with me, still doing her job but allowing for my process and the freedom I love and feel imperative to good performance. She’s the absolute best. Hire her. You won’t regret it. You’ll have a better movie because of her. Thanks Duyen, can’t wait for the next one!

No questions about it -- Duyen was an absolutely FANTASTIC script supervisor. Being a director, Duyen and I certainly worked closely, but it was delightful for the weeks to pass on our project and overhear chatter among other crew (in totally different departments) at how amazing Duyen seemed at her job. Duyen's attention to detail was unparalleled with anyone I've encountered. Her easygoing communication and flexibility with last minute changes was greatly appreciated, and it felt very much like she and our directing/producing team were working towards the same goal at all times.
